Jaya started her career as a model in a soft drink advertisement.Then she worked IN GIASHUDDIN SELIM’s drama SHONGSHOY which came her in spot light. She continued her career with LABONNAPRAVA ,SHAHORTOLIR ALO,TEVAGHA,TARPOR PARULER DIN etc.
Jaya was first seen on the big screen in Bachelor,directed by Mustafa Sarwar Faruki.In that film she acted a short roll.Finally she acted in main character in Nurul Alam Atik’s film Dubshatar.She also acted in Firey Esho Behula.Then she worked in Nasiruddin Yousuff’s film Guerrilla.In that film she acted as a freedom fighter.The film based on the events of the Bangladesh Liberation War.
